[ She nods, lifting her drink and getting to her feet. ]

Stay close. I can keep them at bay.

[ And she does, when someone tries to get to close, shaking her head, and when they don't, her feet shifting to a fighting stance and her fists coming up. She's not actually going to fight anyone, but it's enough to give them a little space until they've managed ask an attendant for a pod, clarify they do not want anything clearly premium, and slip inside a sweet little nook with book shelves, an intimate chaise, and bowls of candy and snacks.

It was sunny and warm and blissfully quiet. ]

That's much better. [ she sighs, taking a seat next to Mitsuru. ] Gosh I don't think I've seen a library like this since I was a kid, and ours was kind of musty.

I appreciate it.

[ She smiles a little and almost chuckles as the other woman raises her fists. Not because she doesn't think that Tifa can take someone on in a fight- she would never doubt the combat abilities of another woman, but because the almost boxing stance and readiness to fight immediately reminds her of a friend back home.

She doesn't know what to expect from the pod when they get there but finds herself more than pleasantly surprised. ]

[ Much better indeed. Despite her usual stoic expression, Mitsuru's eyes practically light up at the sight of the books in front of them both. She can't resist moving towards them and running her hands over the spines of some of the covers as she surveys what's on offer, listening as Tifa speaks. ]

Most of my family's residences back home have libraries. I've always spent rather a lot of time in them.

[ Mitsuru visibly relaxes once they're inside, and it makes Tifa glad. She may not know this woman, but she knows what it feels like to be tense and too looked at in public.

And it's...really cute, the way she lights up at the books. Enough to make Tifa's cheeks warm.

Oh, wow. Residences. She must have been a queen at home too. Tifa tucks her hair behind her ear, a little self-concious. ]

My mother read to me, before she died. I liked books in school. They were always more interesting than out town. But I've been working since I was 15, so I haven't had much time lately.

[ She didn't want to admit the only thing she really read was fairy tale style love stories. ]

[ If she could hear Tifa's thoughts, Mitsuru would flat out deny being anything resembling royalty back home. Her friends on the other hand, would probably take a very different view. She had once been bestowed with the nickname "Princess" after all. ]

I am sorry about your mother.

[ She averts her gaze from the books to look at Tifa as she speaks, her expression genuinely somber for a moment. She understands far too well the experience of losing a parent. ]

...Since you were fifteen? Was the work in addition to your studies?

[ In Mitsuru's world, your education and attending classes was the most important thing at fifteen. She simply can't imagine being expected to work a job at such a young and crucial age. This place had a habit of making her feel extremely sheltered all over again. It's clear she still has a lot to learn. ]
