She isn't prone to following conventional politeness and doesn't offer anything close a nice to meet you, instead moving directly to business. Toph doesn't particularly like most high society types, but as an escapee from high society herself, she also isn't going to pass judgment based on first impressions alone. ]

I wish I could say yes. The offences we’re accused of seem to vary from extremely serious to downright trivial in the grand scheme of things.
