[Wow, look, he's actually?? Using his charm for once? And doesn't like introduce himself or anything just starts talking like the rude asshole he is.]
...Hate to say it, but I think we gotta figure something out about money.
[did you know you can mooch free meals at the inn but if you want to make your own shit you have to pay for it. Wild. There's a whole economy out here and everything.]

[ The video opens to Mitama, though just like in her recent post, she's wearing her "disguise". She's here on an important business, after all. ]
Ho, ho, ho! Thank you for joining our Secret Santa event~ It's time to find out what ─ or rather who ─ your assignment as Santa's Little Helper for this year is! Drumroll, please...
[ She makes a pause for a dramatic effect, her hand slipping into a Santa hat she's holding and pulling out a small piece of paper with a name on it. ]
It's none other than... Akira Kurusu, the rebel without a cause!
Remember, you should present your assignee with a gift of your choice until December 25th! Good luck, and remember: your main task is to spread joy, happiness and the spirit of Christmas cheer!
Miss Santa Coordinator, out!

Uh....Kijirou-san? It's me, Ken. When you have a moment, can I talk to you?
[Nevermind the hesitation in his voice. Because talking to his other leader will always be awkward.]

[Look. Some things are just respectful. And when your housemates is covered by mistletoe and frogs to divulge their nudist tendencies-- giving them a heads up on when you expect to be home is only right. Right??]
should be back in like ten minutes, just as a heads up.

[Jerry is so confused about this chain of events... but he supposes he has nothing to do than to go through with what that girl said in his mailbox. he's no rule breaker, and even though he hadn't signed up for anything, he's going to go along with it. because it was a rule.
so on the 25th, Mitsuru might find a rapier leaning near her doorstep with a bow on the top. there's a note, in clear, concise handwriting:]
To defend those closest to you in the days ahead.
[she'll find that the weapon doesn't cut her, and it won't cut any of the other Chosen unless they're actively doing crimes. Monsters, animals and everything else can be damaged and killed by it as normal, though.]

Good day, Mitsuru Kirijo.
My name is Goro Akechi, I am an acquaintance of Kotone Shiomi. May I have a moment of your time?

So this place is a city now
[That's a statement, he's just accepting it.]
have you been able to find our place, or you think we're supposed to find a new one? Cause I'm lost as hell.

[Sorry, Mitsuru. It's been a night. Yhere's been a lot happening. So it's pretty late when she gets a text from an exhausted (and probably feverish, due to the fucking... Miasma infection water in every wound) Shinjiro.]
I think Koromarus gonna come get you sometime
Me and Minato are probably OK but got into some shit. Going to the clinic now.
It's akechis fault.

[ it's become somewhat of an unusual routine - it's never really been planned exactly, never discussed beforehand but they find themselves running into each other in the library ever so often, wandering the shelves lined with books together before settling down in each respective armchairs near a bright window; they don't talk much - vash being still too conscious of the stern librarians who silently patrol the space - but for someone who is so loud and (probably) annoying with his overexaggerated personality, he can be quiet when he wants to.
he always asks her for recommendations on what to read, as though she is an authority on the subject of his rudimentary "education" as such; it doesn't seem like vash has formed much of a preference as of yet, seemingly interested in any number of topics but it's the corny romance novels that he seems to enjoy the most - who knows just what about them holds his attention like this. right now he's got his nose buried in one in the chair across from her, sunglasses propped up over his forehead and eyes glued to the pages. ]

Hey co-owner I had an idea I want to run by you
Everyone I know is burying themselves in some major guilt trips after everything that just happened, so I was thinking we should do something to break the mood and maybe cheer people up
How about we host a free night at the casino? The chips don't have to mean anything, we can just let people play. And maybe I can finally kick off my fighting tournament

[While he knocks before entering her office at the casino, it sounds a whole lot more like kicking the door with his boot? Which is silly, because then Shinjiro lets himself in anyway. It's an awkward motion, having opened the door with an elbow or something, and he's standing up straight(er) as he walks in, one to-go cup of.... Something.... In each hand.]
Hey, try this.
[It's colorful and has some sort of??? Thing??? Layering the bottom of the drink? Honestly, who knows what he's setting down on her desk (not on a coaster, despite the drinks condensation), along with a small paper bag.
Lunch is fancy cookies today. Don't worry about it. He'll expense the bill. He sits down across from her desk without an invitation and tries a sip of his own drink, before making a face.]
-Alright, this is weirder than I thought... Anyway. I figured if you're in the rare mood to talk about yourself, you'd rather it be in person.
[Also probably not on a 'hot of not' post on the network, even if it is easy to get swept up in one on one conversations here and forget that it's public.]

Hello Mitsuru :-)
Eleanor has been very good, she's eaten and is taking a nap now!
[ have a cute pic of her spread out on her fancy cushion (because of course he doesn't have anything like that just sitting around casually here) on the bed. ]
The door will be unlocked, so feel free to come by anytime this afternoon when you're done. Please don't feel like you need to hurry, we're both good here. :-)

[It has been about a week or so since the whole ordeal with the AI and reset and what not when Mitsuru receives a surprise visitor to the Casino! Because, suddenly there is a white boar walking around the halls with a handwritten letter in its mouth, addressed to Mitsuru Kirijo.]
To the most honored lady, Mitsuru Kirijo.
I hope that this letter finds you well and that you have managed to recover from our harrowing travels to the desert. It would appear that our struggles and efforts were not in vain as the peace has once again fallen upon our world. I must admit, that your performance of courage and grace that I saw that day left me impressed and delighted. I find myself visiting that memory of you wielding your sword again and again. You truly are a proper lady, your shine shadowing many of the daughters of nobility I have encountered in my life.
There has, in fact, been certain things bothering me and I believe you would just be the right person to help me with my trouble. If you will it, I would request an audience with you, my lady Kirijo.
Signed,
Richard Plantagenet, Duke of Gloucester.

[ it's been probably a few minutes since he's been standing here at the porch of mitsuru's house, clutching a random assortment of bags in both his arms. it's not that he's debating on how to press the doorbell - after all, his elbows are free - but it's more out of sudden flash of reality check really ... after all, who appreciates someone just turning up out of the blue on their doorstep without any notice?
maybe this wasn't such a good idea as it seemed an hour ago ...
he shifts his weight from one foot to the other, hearing the rustling of the contents of the bags with the movement, and sneaks another longing glance back down at the driveway stretched out behind him. perhaps he could just leave the things here and message her? no, but that wasn't the point of this visit at all!!!
the metaphorical clock ticks by one minute, then another, before vash finally shuffles forward a step to manoeuvre his arm enough to press the doorbell with, and then he moves back to where he was standing before - an awkwardly tinted smile plastered across his face. ]
