She isn't prone to following conventional politeness and doesn't offer anything close a nice to meet you, instead moving directly to business. Toph doesn't particularly like most high society types, but as an escapee from high society herself, she also isn't going to pass judgment based on first impressions alone. ]
I haven't been yet but I was gonna check it out later. There's always some scummy guys out there who think they can fleece a tiny defenseless blind girl, so I don't feel bad about taking 'em for what they got. It's like endless start-up money.
