anyway, vash tries to tidy up a little bit - not that there is much to actually tidy up, to be honest, but at least he ties his hair back with a random rubber band he finds (rip figuratively and literally) and makes himself a bit more presentable, as a whole. with his hair longer like this, the dark streaks in his normally cropped undercut is more apparent. ]

and yeah, his place is ... like this. apart from the framed photo on the table off to one side of the small kitchen, there's hardly any personal effects sitting around ... not including the new plant, of course. it seems that even after months of staying here, he's not completely used to the idea of being stationary; always expecting to be off somewhere else.

She's in the process of setting the shears and the clippers down, looking for a surface to put them on and spying the table in the kitchen which looks suitable... when she notices what looks to be a framed picture on it. That in itself is unusual, given how empty the rest of his space is in comparison. For it to be there it has to be important, right?
Mitsuru takes a few steps closer, peering down to look at the image contained with the frame, her brown eyes glimmering with recognition as she looks back at the present Vash. ]

[ The boy on the right looks practically identical but there are subtle differences in their colouring she notices. That and the fact that the boy on the left has the same mole placement beneath the eye as Vash does, with the other being the mirror opposite. ]
[ there's some sounds of movement - rustling of bag and things - as mitsuru moves behind him and looks for a place to set up all the gears at, but he doesn't immediately turn to help her with it - even though she said it's sharp and spikey, he carefully prods at one of the spines with a finger, starting when it, in fact, does hurt. for such a tiny thing, it's stronger than it looks, huh? ]
