Just ... [ vash looks stricken at such a suggestion - for a few seconds at least - as he whirls around with a rattle and a bunch of rustling noise of the bags, before he quietens down with another tiny wince. ] I didn't realise your place was ... so big?
[ too big for someone to live alone - though she seems content enough from what little he could tell ... and even if she didn't have any servants now (if it's a joke, vash can't really believe it; it would make perfect sense for her to have them, really!) maybe she's used to having a big space to begin with that this isn't really all that much? did he come here on a random whim and is only being a nuisance now?
with all of those thoughts going through in his head, vash tries to give the other a reassuring grin anyway - tipping the bags to show mitsuru the contents:
inside, she might see a few packets of brightly coloured (presumably flavouring) popcorn, other snacks, a couple of cans of soda, and ... movies? ]
I asked around to see what was good, and I wasn't sure what you'd like for snacks, so I got a few different kinds ...
Just thought you might want some company ... but I can go, if you don't!!!! I'm sorry for coming here so suddenly!
Well, it wasn't just me living here to begin with so...
[ It's not like her to trail off awkwardly but, you know. She's avoided thinking about it too much, about the fact that of her original trio she's now the only one left and living here alone. The size of the place doesn't bother her, truthfully for her it's smaller than she's used to. It's just difficult to ignore empty rooms after a while.
Anyway, she's not going to think about that. Mitsuru peers into the bags and blinks. ]
You want to watch movies with me?
And please stop apologising. Of course I don't wish for you to go.
[ he says nothing to that - but the awkward, wobbly sort of smile that flashes over his face in response should tell mitsuru very well that yes, he is aware, and yes, he should probably have realised it sooner, and yes, he is definitely overthinking himself into a spiralling burst of guilt for some reason for not noticing sooner.
being alone wasn't a good thing, he knows that. understands it, in a way that she might not even start to realise. nobody deserves that.
[ And as usual the look he gets back is one of calm and practiced serenity. Yes, so it is strange and lonely living here alone now but she's not going to let on that she's dealing with it any way besides going about business as usual and getting on with things. ]
I do. Kitchen's this way.
[ Leading the way down the hallway to said kitchen now (modestly sized and clearly under used now that Shinjiro isn't here), she does pause to add. ]

I suspect Eleanor will be delighted to see you.
